Located in the shadow of Washington’s famed National Cathedral, Cathedral Heights is a small and quiet residential neighborhood in the Northwest quadrant of DC. It is roughly bordered by Woodley Road to the north, Fulton Street to the south, Wisconsin Avenue to the east, and Glover Archbold Park and Idaho Avenue to the west.
The neighborhood is comprised mainly of stately single-family houses and Edwardian row houses, though the Wisconsin Avenue corridor of Cathedral Heights includes plenty of apartment buildings, condominiums, and co-ops, as well as commercial buildings, dining and shopping. Bus lines on Wisconsin Ave also provide convenient access to Friendship Heights, Bethesda and Georgetown.
Cathedral Heights is adjacent to the neighborhoods of Glover Park to the south, AU Park to the west, Tenleytown to the north, Cleveland Park to the northeast, and Woodley Park to the east.
